I tried to download the *.avi files to convert them to DVD so I could watch them on my TV. I only got *. torrent links. I’m not about to load up somebody else’s software just to download public domain movies! The people who built this trap on the web are doing us no favor.
If the movies are truly in the public domain, they should be totally free. Having to jump through some Capitalist’s hoops to get stuff that belongs to all of us is anti-American, anti-Capitalist and anti-Free.
Do you know how Bittorrent works, or what Bittorrent is?
I ask because the .torrent files are how you download Bittorrent files through a Bittorrent client. Bittorrent is completey free. It’s simply a means to download large files without using a lot of expensive bandwidth.
